Key Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for appointments. Obtain and document vital signs and patient information. Collect and update medical and medication histories. Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Perform basic diagnostic testing, including urine dipstick testing, glucose testing, and EKGs, as deemed competent. Accurately document patient care and clinical activities in the electronic health record. Reinforce patient education as directed by providers and nurses. Maintain exam room cleanliness, organization, and supply levels. Assist with scheduling diagnostic tests, specialist referrals, and follow-up appointments. Support front office operations, including answering phones, patient check-in/check-out, fax management, and document scanning. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
