Job Summary: Full-time - 10am - 10:30pm - 12 hour shift The registered nurse is a professional practitioner who delivers patient care through the nursing process. Functions and Duties: Collaborates with the patient, family and healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes Assess and reassess patient clinical condition, which includes objective and subjective assessment data. Facilitate patient flow. Prioritize and delegate tasks related to patient care. Clear communication with First Responders in the Community (EMS). Knowledge of role in codes including but not limited to: Inside Response Team Outside Response Team Code Blue in ED Code Blue in house Code Blue on grounds Express Team Code Green including the function of the Decon Room Other hospital codes Clear and sensitive communication with patients and families who are dealing with various stages of trauma and tragedy. Management of an expired patient including but not limited to: Coroner notification M transplant notification Funeral home notification Morgue placement Patient belongings Family physician notification Police if required Safe management of Behavioral Health patients in acute crisis.
