The Surgical Services department comprises areas in both the outpatient and inpatient surgical areas: 30 outpatient beds located on the 2nd 32 private inpatient beds on the 6th Primary patient population/diagnoses include elective, urgent, and emergent surgical cases: Orthopedic General Surgery Gynecological Urology Ear, Nose, &Throat Vascular Plastics Neruosurgery Wound Debridement Pain management Cath Lab Endoscopy Responsibilities Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Acute care experience with surgical/post procedural background preferred. Pediatric background helpful, but not required. This position is expected to cross-train to both inpatient and outpatient surgical areas and maintain competency to care for patients. Orientation and education will be provided to both areas to ensure appropriate training for the employee. This position is required to take call, with a 45-minute response, in the outpatient setting as required by unit expectations. The position requires Holiday and weekend rotation and varied shift start times. Overview The Employee Health Nurse Specialist provides relief coverage for all Legacy Employee Health offices. The Employee Health Nurse Specialist in consultation with the Employee Health Medical Director and team members provides direct nursing care, health education, and guidance for Legacy employees. The Employee Health Nurse Specialist collaborates with the Legacy Infection Control team; the Risk Management Department and with the Legacy Safety Program, and other departments as needed to promote a safe and health work environment and maintain daily clinic operations. Overview Legacy Health offers an exciting growth opportunity to join a well-established team of collaborative and energetic Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs). This role provides the opportunity to practice across both Level III and Level IV NICU settings within the Legacy system. NNPs are integral to delivery attendance and the medical management of high-risk neonates and infants, including daily rounding on NNP service patients. In addition to clinical care, the role includes telemedicine resuscitation coverage for Legacy Level I nursery sites and opportunities to contribute to non-clinical initiatives that support the highest standards of care for NICU patients and their families. Responsibilities Patient Care Management: The NNP’s work collaboratively with Neonatologists and pediatric subspecialists in the NICU as well as pediatricians and obstetricians in the Labor and Delivery and Family Birthing centers to guide the care of neonates and infants across the care continuum. The NNP’s are key leaders in patient care projects that support both nursing care and medical management. Resuscitation: The NNP’s attend deliveries in person at each of the medical centers and via a telehealth support platform at the other level I nursery sites to provide a consistent high level of care for newborns throughout the Legacy system. Discharge Planning: The entire NICU team works to provide an integrated family care experience to enable families to care for their high-risk infants within the NICU setting and beyond. The NICU values input from all members of the team including dedicated neonatal RT’s, consultants from dietary, OT/PT, lactation, as well as the core nursing, medical and leadership staff. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an NICU Staff Nurse, Level III preferred. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required. Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP) required. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Certification, (or within 90 days of employment). Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges. Completion of ECMO certification course preferred. Pay Range USD $84.13 - USD $108.17 /Hr.
