Overview As a Clinic Assistant, your workdays will be varied and engaging. You may be heavily involved with patient registration and clerical support one day, while the next you’ll be escorting patients to exam rooms and guiding them through the continuum of care. Responsibilities The Clinic Assistant MA participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a physician. In addition, offers complex, diversified office support within the clinic setting. Provides a variety of key services guiding the patients through the continuum of care between physician services, diagnostic services and hospitalizations Requires advanced administrative skills and knowledge of physician outpatient clinic operations, knowledge and experience with insurance plans and benefit designs, and pre-authorization procedures, and some knowledge of CPT and ICD coding. Work is generally performed independently requiring judgment and problem-solving skills under limited supervision. Qualifications Education: Completion of a medical assistant program or successful completion of a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, or higher education (such as LPN or RN). Experience: Experience as a back office medical assistant in a clinic setting. A minimum of three years of progressively more responsible health care experience or equivalent education in at least one of the following areas required: Patient Registration Medical Records/Health Information Clerical support experience Insurance Verification/Authorization/Referrals Skills: Advanced skill with appropriate computer systems and software packages. May require ability to transcribe reports, forms, and correspondence, including the use of technical and medical terminology, from longhand or dictation. Ability to compose routine correspondence and reports. Ability to edit documents for grammar, punctuation, etc. Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to withstand varying job pressures and effectively prioritize related tasks. Demonstrated interpersonal and effective communication skills that promote cooperation and teamwork. Ability to work with credibility and effectiveness with medical and administrative staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with confidential information. Licensure Washington and Oregon: Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required. MA certification required upon hire, or within one year of hire, from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the National Healthcare Association (NHA) or higher (such as LPN or RN). Overview The Employee Health Nurse Specialist provides relief coverage for all Legacy Employee Health offices. The Employee Health Nurse Specialist in consultation with the Employee Health Medical Director and team members provides direct nursing care, health education, and guidance for Legacy employees. The Employee Health Nurse Specialist collaborates with the Legacy Infection Control team; the Risk Management Department and with the Legacy Safety Program, and other departments as needed to promote a safe and health work environment and maintain daily clinic operations. Collaborates with internal and external partners to design, implement, and evaluate health education and wellness outreach projects. Acts as liaison for Legacy employees who have experienced a disease exposure or injury. Responds to queries from internal customers, facilitates positive communication and efficient resolution to employee health issues. Overview The Employee Health Nurse Specialist provides relief coverage for all Legacy Employee Health offices. The Employee Health Nurse Specialist in consultation with the Employee Health Medical Director and team members provides direct nursing care, health education, and guidance for Legacy employees. The Employee Health Nurse Specialist collaborates with the Legacy Infection Control team; the Risk Management Department and with the Legacy Safety Program, and other departments as needed to promote a safe and health work environment and maintain daily clinic operations. Acts as liaison for Legacy employees who have experienced a disease exposure or injury. Remains current on local or community resources available on a variety of health and social issues. Works in collaboration with manager, team members, and other multidisciplinary staff to identify health risks in the employee population and participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs to eliminate and/or minimize identified risks. Acts as preceptor and oversight for students on clinical rotation assignment. Provides training and direction of float and temporary staff working within the department. Supervises unlicensed assistive personnel and collaborates with non-clinical department staff. Complies and reports data to the Safety Committee and Infection Control Committee regarding Employee Health issues. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Overview Position Overview Legacy Health offers an exciting growth opportunity to join a well-established team of collaborative and energetic Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs). This role provides the opportunity to practice across both Level III and Level IV NICU settings within the Legacy system. NNPs are integral to delivery attendance and the medical management of high-risk neonates and infants, including daily rounding on NNP service patients. In addition to clinical care, the role includes telemedicine resuscitation coverage for Legacy Level I nursery sites and opportunities to contribute to non-clinical initiatives that support the highest standards of care for NICU patients and their families. Level IV NICU – Randall Children’s Hospital The Level IV, 45-bed NICU is located within Randall Children’s Hospital, a freestanding, nine-story pediatric facility. This unit provides comprehensive care supported by a full range of pediatric subspecialties, including cardiac and neurosurgical services, genetics, and ECMO. Care is delivered within a family-integrated model, supported by a dedicated pediatric transport team. Notably, this role does not require transport responsibilities. Level III NICU – Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center The Level III, 22-bed NICU at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is a growing unit actively expanding its NNP team. Scheduling is flexible and evolving, with 12-, 16-, and 24-hour shift options available to support work-life balance and team coverage. Scheduling & Practice Model This position is based in the Portland/Vancouver area and requires dual licensure in Oregon and Washington. NNPs rotate between both NICU sites, with frequency tailored to individual preferences while ensuring 24/7 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A well-established self-scheduling model and structured holiday tracks contribute to provider satisfaction and balance. Discharge Planning: The entire NICU team works to provide an integrated family care experience to enable families to care for their high-risk infants within the NICU setting and beyond. The NICU values input from all members of the team including dedicated neonatal RT’s, consultants from dietary, OT/PT, lactation, as well as the core nursing, medical and leadership staff. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an NICU Staff Nurse, Level III preferred. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required. Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP) required.
