The DCT 4A team cares for oncology and sickle cell patients, as well as patients with metabolic and genetic disorders. Summary : Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process across UNC Health hospital settings. The Clinical Nurse will float to a minimum of four UNC Hospital locations with ability to float between at least two acuity levels of care or specialties (example- intermediate and critical care). Other Information Other information: Education Requirements: ● Graduation from a school of professional nursing ● If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ● Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina ● Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Other relevant life support credentials based upon clinical level of care (i.e. ACLS or NRP, dependent upon clinical grouping assignment). Professional Experience Requirements: ● Three (3) years of nursing experience. Three years of inpatient hospital nursing experience needed for this role.
