Summary Based in the Genitourinary (Urology) Department , this primarily Outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position provides patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) , supports department Surgical Oncologists/Urology , and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. Position Highlights Assists physicians with the evaluation, management, and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures, and co-morbidities. Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s). Will assist in managing GU Surgical patients in collaboration with the Attending in shared clinics as well as in Independent Clinics. Will see post-operative patients as well as established patients on surveillance independently. Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (will work five, eight-hour days during the introductory period and then be able to transition to four, ten-hour days, with a predefined off day during the week, after successful completion and orientation to role). Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body. Active BLS; active ACLS in addition is a plus.
