The Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) uses their oncology-specific clinical knowledge to offer individualized guidance to patients, families and caregivers to foster independence during their complex cancer journey. Using the nursing process, an ONN assesses patient needs and provides education and resources to facilitate appropriate and timely quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum. Minimum Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program required. Experience Behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health experience preferred, but motivated RNs interested in mental health nursing are encouraged to apply. Licensure and Certification Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts required. BLS Healthcare Provider certification required. CPI certification required within 30 days of hire.
