Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions. Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines. Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing may be required. ** INFUSION NURSE (RN) ** Elgin, IL Area ** SUMMARY: The Infusion Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for providing infusions. The infusion nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately, and the standards of quality are adhered to. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act. • Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes. • Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill. • Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws. • Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. • Preforms all other duties as assigned. Overview Department: Nursing Administration Schedule: Nights, 7:00pm - 7:30am, 12-hour shifts Facility: Resurrection Medical Center Location: Chicago, IL 60631 Responsibilities The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
