South Hospital: With approximately 170,000 square feet, UofL Health – South Hospital brings modern and spacious inpatient rooms, enhanced emergency capabilities, increased surgical and outpatient services, new intensive care services, more primary care and specialty providers and more job and volunteer opportunities. South Hospital features a Cardiac catheterization lab with 24/7 STEMI network, Vascular lab, and six operating rooms. UofL Hospital: The Surgical Services Department at UofL Hospital is comprised of several departments in multiple locations. The department provides services to adult patients in the areas of inpatient and outpatient surgery, endoscopy, pain management, interventional nephrology, and infusion services. Surgical specialties include general surgery, colorectal, plastics, urology, vascular and endovascular therapeutics, thoracic, surgical oncology, trauma, OB-GYN, gynecologic oncology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT, oral maxillofacial, hand surgery and podiatry. Endoscopy specialties include gastroenterology, general surgery, colorectal surgery and pulmonology. UofL Hospital has 22 operating rooms. Fourteen of these rooms are main operating rooms located within UofL Hospital with two featuring the da Vinci® Robot and integrated to meet the needs of these robotic surgery procedures. The other four operating rooms are located at the UofL Physicians – Outpatient Surgery Center. Over 12,000 procedures are completed in our operating rooms annually. Additional Job Description: Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is (required) All new-hire Associate Degree Registered Nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire (required at UofL Hospital only) . Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (preferred) Experience: All new RN graduates will participate in the Nurse Residency program and must successfully complete all activities (required) Two years of hospital patient care experience (preferred) Licensure: Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required) Certification: Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas)

Responsibilities Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana (and part of the UHS Healthcare System) and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult populations. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently looking for a Nurse Manager for our Nursing Department. The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who shares delegated responsibility with the Chief Nursing Officer in all matters related to program issues, unit staff, patient management and daily FTE’s. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the units they are assigned, including accountability of staff. They will participate in the hiring process and will work with Staff Development in developing education for staff. Assists the Chief Nursing Officer with compliance to hospital policies and procedures. This position supervises various Mental Health Technicicans, LPNs, and RNs and is a safety sensitive position. Responsibilities The Wound, Ostomy, Continence-RN is a nurse specialist whose scope of practice involves the age-specific care of patients aged neonate through geriatric; includes planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating the care of patients with impaired skin integrity, ostomies, and complex or chronic wounds, including surgical wounds. As a clinician, the Wound, Ostomy, Continence-RN provides direct patient care, consultations, assessments, recommendations, and ongoing re-evaluation of nursing care for hospitalized patients and outpatients under the specific scope of practice. The Wound, Ostomy, Continence-RN is a resource for nursing staff, patients, families, and physicians.
