Key Responsibilities: Administer Treatments: Provide prescribed treatments, including wound care, IV therapy, and other specialized therapies. Monitor Patient Health: Regularly assess residents' health, vital signs, and progress, documenting any changes or concerns. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work with physicians, RNs, and other care team members to update and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide Patient Education: Educate residents and families about treatment plans, self-care practices, and medication management. Accurate Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of treatments, patient conditions, and interventions, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure Patient Safety: Follow infection control procedures, safety protocols, and best practices to maintain a safe environment for residents. Qualifications: Current RN or LPN License in Missouri. CPR/BLS Certification required. Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred. Experience with wound care, IV therapy, and other treatment procedures is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a healthcare team. Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated. Makes routine rounds to ensure proper care and maintain a safe, clean resident environment. Oversees the accuracy and completion of clinical documentation per FV policy and State and Federal regulations. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, and nursing staff orientation. Participates in family/resident counseling. Assists with implementation and evaluation of quality of care, including ongoing auditing of Quality Indicators. Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers to assure appropriate care and compliance with State and/or Federal regulations. Requirements: Current nursing license. Three years of nursing management experience in senior care preferred. Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing. Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experienced with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response. Ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail. Work collaboratively in a team environment that promotes inclusiveness and communication among team members.
