Patient diagnoses/interventions includes Ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, tumor resections, spine/neurosurgeries, neuro endovascular surgery, Parkinson's, and epilepsy. Nurses are NIHSS & ACLS certified and encouraged to become Stroke Certified. Staffing ratios are 1:3 or 1:4 based on acuity. 9 East is a fast paced, high functioning unit focusing on safe outcomes.
