Position Overview: The Occupational Health Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) provides high-quality medical care to employees and clients under the supervision of a licensed physician and in accordance with Illinois state law and facility protocols. This role includes performing pre-employment and periodic health assessments, workplace injury evaluations, return-to-work examinations, and other occupational health services. The APP promotes employee wellness, ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, and collaborates with Human Resources, department leadership, and external agencies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment Specifics: - Position: Advanced practice Provider - Department: Occupational health -Location: Gateway Regional Medical Center 2044 Madison Ave. Granite City, IL 62040 -Position Status: Full-time -Work Schedule: Days, 80 hrs per pay period Education Qualifications: Required: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or a Master's or Doctoral program for Nurse Practitioners Certification Qualifications: For Physician Assistants: Current Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Illinois required. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). For Nurse Practitioners: Current Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Illinois required. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, or Occupational Health specialty preferred). For All Applicants: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. DEA license preferred. Experience Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a PA or NP preferred.
