Organization: VPEC Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a vital role in delivering specialized care and managing the health needs of patients in either inpatient, ambulatory, or a combination of both settings. We provide preoperative anesthetic evaluations for individuals undergoing elective surgery for the adult population. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that would like to join a growing clinic. Our excellent, patient centered care is directed and/or delivered by a collaborative team made up of Attending Anesthesiologist’s, Resident Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. The Leadership Team is comprised of a Medical Director, Administrative Director, Clinic Manager, a lead Clinical NP. Clinic staff members include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Services Representatives. Various support resources are also available, such as, social work, referral specialists, laboratory and radiology. We are committed to providing excellent service to our patients and a supportive and caring work environment for our staff. Nurse Practitioner (FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, AGACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) 1 or more years of APP experience required KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Obtains and documents a health history; performs and documents complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examination, assessment and plan of care. In collaboration, provides healthcare services for primary, acute and complex care of patients and manages patients’ overall care, identifying expected outcomes for diagnoses. Orders, performs, interprets and collects data using appropriate assessment techniques, relevant supporting diagnostic information and diagnostic procedures where indicated. Forms differential diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions. Prescribes therapeutic interventions for both pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic and surgical, needed to achieve expected outcomes. Additional Information This position with specifically work with Surgical Oncologists in the treatment and management of their patients. . They will also assist in the OR with covering surgical cases with a supervising MD. They may assist the inpatient and outpatient care team under the guidance of the attending. This position will work closely with Residents and Fellows to care for the Surgical oncology patients. Credentials And Qualifications Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program. Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body. Active BLS and ACLS. Experience in surgery/OR, oncology or general internal medicine; experience specific to the specialty preferred. Experience as a First Assist/Bedside Assist in the OR preferred, Robotic Experience a plus, RNFA Certification a plus (if APRN). Description The Clinical Program Manager provides clinical support and administrative direction within the Tisch Cancer Center’s Clinical Trials Office (TCC CCTO). Description The mission of the Patient Safety and Quality department within the Mount Sinai Institute of Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) is to enhance patient outcomes by ensuring critically-ill patients receive the highest standards of care through continuous improvement and a maintaining a culture of safety. As a PSQ Manager, you will join a collaborative team that works closely with clinical providers, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to develop, implement, promote, and monitor initiatives that improve the delivery of quality care among critically-ill patients across all Mount Sinai Hospital System (MSHS) sites. This position is full-time and scheduled onsite during regular business hours at the Mount Sinai Hospital Campus, located in the Upper East Side of New York City. Responsibilities Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with nursing staff, leadership, medical staff and other administrative staff. Monitor quality performance metrics established by ICCM and Mount Sinai Health System. Help interdisciplinary teams identify areas of opportunity and provide guidance through QI process. Regularly review clinical documentations to ensure adherence to policy and accepted standards of care. Helps reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAI) by providing recommendations for invasive device removal when clinically appropriate. Consult with medical providers regarding National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance with established healthcare standards. Organizes and facilitates high-level presentations on behalf of ICCM, including designing slidedecks, creating an agendas, maintaining minutes, and providing follow-up on deliverables. Provide education seminars regarding quality improvement Qualifications Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required. Masters in Nursing or health related field is preferred. Certification in specialty area preferred 5 years directly related experience (some supervisory preferred) New York State License with current registration as a registered professional nurse Certification in specialty area preferred Preferred: A minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in an adult ICU setting within a tertiary healthcare center. Experienced designing, implementing, and measuring the impact of QI projects using rapid-cycle frameworks, such as PDSA. Skilled in evaluating and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Knowledgeable of roles of regulatory and data benchmarking organizations, such as CMS, NHSN, NDNQI, and The Joint Commission. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills and adapts effectively to diverse audiences at all organizational levels. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and EPIC Hyperspace software. Description The Clinical Program Manager provides clinical support and administrative direction within the Tisch Cancer Center’s Clinical Trials Office (TCC CCTO).
