One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women’s Services RN experience strongly preferred BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience is preferred What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Location: Cityview Pediatric Gynecology Department: Pediatric Gynecology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations. Education and Experience High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required. Previous Medical assistant experience preferred. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Current BLS Certification required. National certification preferred.
