Major responsibilities of this role will include one or more of the following: o Perform/direct ACLS o Independent rhythm interpretation and defibrillation o Administration of advanced lifesaving medications o Independent, templated (“RN-only”) visits for patient assessment, with action taken based on established protocols and/or clinical practice standards using clinical judgement to determine intervention timing/specifics. o Specialty patient education where certification/additional certificate is required for role (listed in job requirements) o Sedation o Telemetry monitoring & interpretation/management of rhythm changes o Assisting with complex procedures - (RN doing care / work on patient, or RN has role in treatment / procedure, etc.) o Advanced wound therapy (VACs, debridement, etc.) o Central line management (TPA administration) and maintenance (dressing / cap changes, access / flushing) o Device interrogation and interpretation with resultant action o Complex infusions (concurrent infusions, hazardous medication administration, blood and blood products, etc.) Work may also include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with minor procedures. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment is required. At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Nursing licensure is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Oncology: RNs must have/attain an oncology nursing certification or complete 10 hours oncology-focused CE education/year on an ongoing basis.
