Description RN Clinical Nurse II - Per Diem needed for Children's Specialty Clinic UNC Children’s Specialty Clinic in Chapel Hill is located at the NC Children’s Hospital on the main campus of UNC Medical Center. The specialty clinic is made up of 20+ medicine and surgical specialty clinics that provide care for children in North Carolina and surrounding states. Our clinic also supports a specialty infusion room and assist with Pediatric Urodynamic Studies. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm. No weekend or holiday hours required. While we support staff working in the areas where they have the greatest interest, each CNII is oriented to each medicine and specialty clinic, infusion room and Urodynamic Studies and are expected to rotate through each area, as needed. Summary: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Responsibilities: 1. Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. With assistance, uses patient education materials relevant to patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers.
