Fosters professional development of new nurses by providing constructive performance feedback through the designated documentation tool accessible to the new nurse’s unit leaders. Partners with unit leadership and new nurse to develop individualized developmental plan if needed. Serves as an educational resource, specific to established clinical protocols and guidelines, for new nurses. Responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating, and revising continuing education programs for new nurses as needed. Must be able to apply for continuing education credits for educational programs delivered. Must serve as a role model and provide the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice.
