Requirements of the Certified Home Health Aide- MUST HAVE A VALID NEW JERSEY HOME HEALTH AIDE LICENSE! Certified Home Health Aides must be detail-oriented and be able to carefully follow protocols and rules regarding the patient’s care. Aides must adhere to instructions from doctors and nurses, such as knowing how to care for a minor medical issue or letting them know about changes in the patient’s health. They should be trustworthy and dependable so the patient and their family feel comfortable relying on them. Certified Home Health Aides should have the following skills and qualifications: High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. At least 1 year experience as a Caregiver/ Certified Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities). NJ Licensed as Certified Home Health Aide a must Must be fully covid vaccinated & booster 2-step PPD Physical within the last 12 months Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job. Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile Responsibilities of the Certified Home Health Aide- Certified Home Health Aides help patients in a variety of ways which may include taking their vital sign or giving them medication under a nurses direction. They must record and report this data as medically necessary. Certified Home Health Aides also can help patients with their daily functions, such as dressing or taking a bath. They can assist with planning for doctor's appointments, other meetings and may organize transportation for them. As a Certified Home Health Aide you will be able to do facility work, hourly as well as live in. The Opportunity The Med Tech position provides support for our community’s residents with the essential day-to-day tasks they can no longer perform or need help with. Med Techs are responsible for administering daily medications. Duties include monitoring residents, reporting changes, and collecting samples. The ideal Med Tech will be detail oriented, possess knowledge of resident care procedures and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to skillfully administer total patient care in accordance with Emergency Nursing Standards of Practice, provides leadership and clinical expertise in the assessing, planning and delivery of emergency care. Provides specialized primary nursing care for acutely ill and injured trauma cases in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures. Qualifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Critical Care or Medical/Surgical experience preferred. BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). ACLS and PALS required within twelve (12) months of employment and must maintained throughout employment. Phlebotomy Certification or IV Certification is required. Proficiency in the English language is required. BSN preferred. Successful completion of a Progressive Care Course or Progressive Care Certification preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word. Ability to employ problem solving techniques and critical thinking. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to organize care/activities of multiple patients.
