JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The registered nurse plans, organizes and directs hospice care and is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on community health education/experience. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care 1. Completes an initial, comprehensive and ongoing comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs. This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule . A caregiver in this position works shifts varying from 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care.
