Job Summary The Clinical Practice Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist (CPM/CNS) demonstrates excellence in clinical nursing by serving as a professional role model, expert consultant, educator, and resource in managing and developing clinical nursing practice. In collaboration with the nursing director/manager and nursing staff, assesses, plans, designs, organizes, implements and evaluates the professional development and educational activities to address identified or anticipated needs of learners. A minimum of five to seven years demonstrated progressive nursing leadership or education roles required. Must have and maintain credentials required for clinical area, which may include ACLS, BLS, and NRP. (If, NRP is required for clinical area, must obtain instructor status within the first year of employment). Certification in specialty area is required or must be achieved within the first year of employment. Membership in professional nursing organization required or must be achieved within the first year of employment. Excellent human relations, verbal, and written communication skills required. Job Summary The Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for oncology patients. Job Responsibilities Delivering high quality, resident-centered care while working as a RN in post-acute facilities Coordinating with the broader care team to shape personalized care plans for residents Communicating various care options with medical staff, residents, and their family members Taking and monitoring vital signs and drawing fluids as needed for lab work Delivering medications and administering treatments to residents Documenting vital signs, nursing interventions and responses, medical histories, and other relevant information in resident records Ensuring the effective use of medical equipment and devices Assisting staff members with incident investigations Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards of care Training nursing professionals and support staff as needed consistent with scope of practice requirements Being accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans Qualifications and Skills Current Rhode Island state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) Graduation from an approved nursing program At least 6 months of experience ( RN or related role) Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Advanced organizational and communication skills Get the Flexibility You Need and the Support You Deserve As you compare Registered Nurse (RN) jobs in your area, consider joining a company that was created with professionals like you in mind.
