Purpose: UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is currently hiring a regular full-time Clinical Research Nurse I (RN) to help support the Clinical Research Services team located at the Hillman Cancer Center in Shadyside/Pittsburgh, PA & at the UPMC Magee Women’s Oncology Research program in Oakland/Pittsburgh, PA. Completion of UPMC student nurse internship or student clinical transitions course at UPMC preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Graduate Nurses must complete the licensure examination within 4 months of hire or within one year of graduation- whichever comes first. UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date, or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU. UPMC-approved national certification is preferred. NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire. CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
