About this Job: General Summary of Position The Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing (ENT) is a member of MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team. Develops and maintains effective relationships and partnerships across disciplines (e.g. medicine) and departments (e.g. environmental services) to ensure the delivery of efficient and quality patient care services. Clinical Nurses on S42 provide expert care to acutely ill adults that are waiting for or have recently received a solid organ transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas, intestine) or have undergone other hepatobiliary surgeries (TACE, liver resection, Whipple). MedStar Georgetown is one of only six centers in the United States that perform intestinal transplants and averages over 100 liver transplants per year. At MedStar Georgetown we also perform kidney and pancreas transplants and serve patients regionally, nationally, and internationally.
