Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) provides rapid, high-quality nursing care to patients with acute illness, injury, and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced Emergency Department. Key Responsibilities: Assess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols. Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life-saving interventions. Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered. Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team. Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization. Operate and monitor emergency and life-support equipment. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned.
