The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. The Professional Staff Nurse is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families. Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment. Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care. Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process. Mobility and visual manual dexterity. The Unit Manager will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating the delivery of resident care services on their assigned unit. Unit Manager Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned unit, including staffing, resident care, and regulatory compliance. Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs, RNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), to ensure the highest standards of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents. Monitor resident assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, address concerns, and ensure quality of care. Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive work environment and professional growth opportunities. Unit Manager Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
