Responds to emergency calls: fires, all codes, disaster drills and trauma alert. Provides leadership and directions in accordance with department goals and policies. Enforces patient rights by assuring patient access to Advanced Directive and Health Care Proxy (HCP) information. Assists in developing system to streamline processes, minimize resource utilization and maximize efficiency. Supervisor is readily available to those with questions, ideas, and or concerns. Communicates and coordinates with nursing units and patient placement coordinator to expedite Emergency Department (ED), PACU admissions and in-house transfers. Seeks solutions to problems identified. Considers financial impact when making decisions. Ensures Purposeful rounding is completed and communicates any concerns with charge nurse/ANM.
