Weekend Supervisor - RN

This position is responsible for the daily clinical aspect of the Assisted Living Department, functioning to meet all residents’ needs. Job Description Weekend Coverage as whole house clinical supervisor for AL, MC, S/NF on Friday (8), Saturday (12), Sunday (12), Monday (optional) Responsible for medication supervision/administration for the Assisted Living Department and Skilled Nursing in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines. Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community. Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation. Respond quickly to all emergencies. Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members. Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information. Understand roll in the Safety & Disaster Plan. Provide educational meetings for residents and staff. Handle necessary disciplinary actions Other duties as assigned Qualifications Level of Formal Education: An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school: or Two years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and applicable experience. Area of Study: Nursing Years of Experience: 1+ years Type of Experience: skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting Special Certifications: Must have a Registered Nurse’s License current, with no judgments against it, in the state in which he/she is practicing and must be CPR certified Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties. Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills Skills and Ability: Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively. The Nurse Manager plays a critical leadership role in fostering a culture of clinical excellence, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care, and supporting the professional development and competency of nursing staff. The ideal candidate has strong behavioral health RN experience, leadership and communication skills. About The Unit The 2 East Adult Behavioral Health Unit is a 24-bed general adult behavioral health unit caring for patients experiencing acute psychiatric illnesses and co-occurring disorders. Focus on short-term stabilization and recovery Emphasis on return-to-work strategies and cognitive therapies Strong collaboration with Maine Medical Center and referring facilities across Maine Goal of supporting patients in successful transition back to the community Summary The Nurse Manager assists the Director in the coordination, supervision, and management of all personnel and patient care activities of the unit and in the successful operation of the hospital and network at large. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. RNC preferred. License/Certifications: Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required. Experience: 2+ years of psychiatric nursing or comparable experience preferred. Demonstrate leadership and management skills. Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice and judgment. Demonstrate effective communication skills.
