Does accurate Central Venous Pressure (CVP) reading, according to physician order and following proper procedure. Sets up, instructs and monitors use of PCA. Obtains doppler pulses following proper procedure. Provides routine care of gastrostomy/jejunostomy tubes according to procedure and physician orders. Assists in heparin therapy protocol per procedures. Applies basic traction, splints, braces, and Continuous Passive motion (CPM) machines following procedure and physician order. Cuts and trims cast, removes wound drains following physician order and procedure. Maintains total hip and total knee precaution measures and instructs patients.
