This group consists of 3 providers, 3 medical assistants and a nurse. The group collaborates well with one another and with the other sections in the office. Clinics move efficiently and RN/MAs work closely together to provide excellent patient care both inside and outside of clinics. Clinics ranging with 10-20 patients in a half day. Patient population is surgery or procedure eligible patients with a medical condition associated with colon and rectal surgery. RN would be responsible for assisting the provider with patient care – including pre-op education, post-op care including wound and/or ostomy care, benign anal/rectal conditional care, and daily patient triage and medical questions or concerns. Although a part of WashU, this specific clinic is a bit smaller than the average and provides close staff and faculty working relationships.
