RESPONSIBILITIES: · Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients as well as nursing staff in a position to understand service requirements. · Assure quality of care by enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements · Maintain nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, scheduling and training nurses and auxiliary staff. · Maintain safe and clean working environment · Ensure operations of medical and administrative equipment verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements. · Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods. REQUIREMENTS: · Valid RN License in the State of New York · CPR/BLS certified · Minimum 2+ years in nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor
