The Staff Nurse provides high-quality, individualized nursing care through expert assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Aseptic Technique: Maintain a sterile field at all times and perform correct counts of sponges and sharps according to safety standards. Specimen & Wound Care: Assist in the collection and care of specimens, application of dressings/casts, and safe patient positioning/transfer. Technical Versatility: Maintain readiness to assume the Surgical Technician role as required by the surgical schedule. Decontamination: Oversee the proper decontamination of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies post-procedure. Teamwork & Operations Effective Communication: Maintain a positive, caring, and professional demeanor with patients, physicians, and co-workers. Staff Development: Assist in the orientation and supervision of new employees to ensure clinical standards are upheld. Resource Management: Efficiently utilize supplies and equipment to ensure cost-effective care without compromising quality. Facility Readiness: Maintain expert knowledge of the location and use of all emergency drugs and life-saving equipment. Experience & Educational Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
