What You'll Do Demonstrates strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story, integrating subjective and objective data, physical and psychosocial factors, personal preferences, and learning needs. Utilizes ongoing data interpretation to recognize patterns and determine both immediate and future care needs. Collaborates with patients and their support systems to identify priorities and incorporate preferences into individualized care plans. Engages the interdisciplinary team, identifies resources, sets realistic goals, and adjusts plans as patient needs evolve. Acts as a patient advocate while implementing the interdisciplinary care plan. Collaborates with the healthcare team to educate patients, prioritize interventions, and ensure timely completion of nursing and medical treatments. Administers and evaluates medication therapies, provides routine nursing care (IVs, dressing changes, etc.), and responds effectively in critical situations such as CPR.
