Coordinates departmental preparedness for regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and quality audits. Maintains procedural protocols, quality control data, equipment maintenance programs, and required documentation to meet regulatory requirements. Communicates, coordinates, delegates, and oversees daily assignments within the Imaging Nursing department. Job Requirements A Day in the Life of a Wound Care Nurse The Wound Care Nurse coordinates treatments to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan-of-care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and outcomes for patients in the outpatient clinic and throughout the organization. Provides patient, family, and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections, and other therapies. Is a resource person for physicians and clinical staff. Participates in performance improvement initiatives of the department and organization. Utilizes principles of current wound management theory when providing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. Participates in the education of clinical staff regarding skin protection, skin/wound care, prevention, treatments, and interventional options. Demonstrates knowledge and skill to manage patients with draining wounds, wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence. Revises plan-of-care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management. Engages in patient and family teaching as appropriate. Inputs charges as appropriate and enters documentation into computer system in a timely manner to ensure compliance. Implements physician orders per plan-of-care and documents appropriately. Consults other healthcare professionals as appropriate to provide interdisciplinary approach to meet patient needs. Serves as a liaison between physicians, patients, and manufacturers of clinical products. Oversees staff (LPN & CNA) assigned for providing patient care. Collaborates with the Clinical Program Director to assure the integration of the ANA’s Scope & Standards of Practice, assuring that these standards are identified as the measurement criteria for nursing practice on the unit. Enliven is seeking an experienced RN (Registered Nurse) to service home infusion and Infusion Center patients in Cheyenne and surrounding locations. The ideal candidate must be well-trained and able to give the best nursing care possible with little supervision. They will educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, cool-tempered, and capable of handling emergent situations. They must follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patients' well-being by providing high-quality nursing care. Responsibilities: RN (Registered Nurse) Complete daily electronic forms for each assigned patient within a secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System. Provide admission, case management, and follow-up skilled nursing visits for home infusion and infusion center patients. Administer ongoing care/infusions for each patient, and provide necessary follow-up as directed by the Physician and Clinical Manager. Confer with physicians and pharmacies to develop the initial treatment plan based on the physician's orders and the initial patient assessment. Provide hands-on care, management, and evaluation of the care plan and teaching of the patient under a physician based on ongoing assessments and as required by policy/regulation. Report patient care, conditions, and progress to the patient's physician, pharmacy, and Clinical Manager continuously. Implement patient care plan in conjunction with patient and family to assist them in achieving optimal resolution of needs/problems. Discharge patients after consultation with the physician and Clinical Manager, preparing and completing needed clinical documentation. Prepare appropriate medical documentation on all patients, including case conferences, patient contacts, medication order changes, re-certifications, progress updates, and care plan changes. Prepare visit/shift reports, update/summarize patient records, and confer with other healthcare disciplines to provide optimal patient care.
