The Maternal Fetal Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP), which may include Nurse Practitioners (NP’s), Physician Assistants (PA’s), or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) functions in a collaborative practice to deliver specialized care to high-risk obstetric patients under the direction and supervision of MFM physicians. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Supports physician to develop and maintain patients. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide high risk adjunctive prenatal care and consulting, coordinate diagnostic testing, and manage complex maternal and fetal conditions. Provides office coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Education & Experience Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
