Surgical Technologist

Overview Owns specific responsibilities for maintenance and policies for various responsibilities within the Operating Room. Takes direction from management of specific tasks to support operating rooms that are of the highest level of quality and safety, in meeting the needs of key doctors, surgeons, and other critical Operating Room. Responsibilities Sets up tables, instruments and supplies required for specific operation. Carries out surgical asepsis. Assists surgical team during operative procedure. Medical Assistant

Overview The Medical Assistant is responsible for efficient and courteous registration, transfer and discharge of patients within established policies and procedures; thoroughly compiles and types of medical information for patients' records and statistical reports and maintains current and accurate patient account receivables. Enterprise Registered Nurse Supplemental Staffing Team

Overview The Supplemental Staffing Team (SST) Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Appalachian Regional Healthcare including those established by the Nurse Practice Act. The primary function of this role, based upon hired tier and float option, is to be available and flexible to float to various departments and/or hospital sites throughout ARH healthcare locations within Kentucky and/or West Virginia. The SST RN is to provide patient care, which could include but not limited to same day staffing assignments, more than one assignment location within a single shift, travel assignments, seasonal staffing patterns or natural disaster/emergency response. Participates as a member of the Supplemental Staffing Team in cooperation with and under the direction of Director and/or Clinical Nurse Manager or designee. • Supplemental Staffing Team RNs are hired with the understanding they must float based on one of the following staffing models: • Local: Float expectation within a single site based on competency. • Regional: Float expectation within multiple sites within a single region based on competency. • Enterprise: Float expectation within multiple sites across one or more regions that are greater than 75 miles from the RN's home address and accepts assignments that range from 2 to 13 weeks based on competency. Special Instructions Enterprise: Contracts range from 2 to 26 weeks at facilities within an assigned region, with a maximum of 26 weeks allowed at any single location before reassignment within the assigned region.. Overview The Community Chief Nursing Officer provides recommendations, assistance and oversight in the development and implementation of effective nursing services, education and infection control programs. Recommends safe and cost-effective nursing staffing patterns and for assisting in the implementation and evaluation of the nursing process.
