The Nursing Professional Development Clinical Leader (NPD Clinical Leader) leads, facilitates and supports organizational and department level programs, committees, and projects that are essential to Nursing Professional Development Services department objectives and UVA Health’s nursing strategic goals. The NPD Clinical Leader utilizes the Nursing Professional Development Practice Model as a foundation for supporting the organization’s mission and vision. The NPD Clinical Leader performs the following job responsibilities: 1. Program Organization A. Monitor and analyze program and project specific metrics, data, and outcomes communicating to stakeholders periodically and as needed. B. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: BSN with Master’s Degree in Nursing or health related field required. DNP, EdD, or PhD preferred. Experience: Experience in education program design and evaluation required. Knowledge and experience in adult education principles required. Evidence of excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in a patient care setting preferred. Three years of experience with orientation and education of staff in a clinical setting preferred. Licensure: Must be a registered nurse and currently licensed to practice in the State of Virginia.
