The first year consists of structured rotations across designated inpatient units. In these 12 months the newly licensed RN will rotate through the different critical care areas within Moffitt- a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This cohort will begin October 19th. New hires must be licensed and able to complete the onboarding process by the start date. This 16 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit provides a dynamic working environment that cares for critically ill medical/surgical patients requiring intubation, vasopressors, CRRT and various other modalities associated with critical care. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer CRRT classes and quarterly education workshops. Hours: 3 12-hour night shifts Responsibilities: New-graduate nurses will initiate professional nursing practice careers in a supportive environment committed to mentoring, coaching and learning. Build confidence through a structured, professional transition-into-practice experience that is customized to individual developmental needs. Develop leadership skills that will positively impact the clinical practice environment and patient outcomes. Scheduled eight-hour paid education days off the unit are offered for residents to participate in required class activities.
