Surgical Tech

Department: Operating Room Work Hours:Work Hours: 8 and 10 hour shifts, Mon - Fri, rotating call shift Provides direct patient care utilizing knowledge in surgical technique, operative procedures and operating room technology. Complies with standards of practice for Surgical Technologist. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited post-secondary education program in Surgical Technology. Command of the standards of surgical technique. BLS certification. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment. Effective December 2020, new hire surgical technologists must meet at least one of the following requirements: Successfully complete a program sponsored by an entity holding a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation and hold and maintain surgical technologist certification from an accredited certification program Successfully complete an appropriate training program for surgical technologists in the U.S. Army, Navy, or Air Force Provide evidence that they maintain a surgical technologist certification from an accredited certification program, were employed to practice as a surgical technologist by the health care facility on or before the effective date of the law, or were employed to practice as a surgical technologist as the individual's primary function in another health care facility at any time during the two years immediately preceding the effective date of this law Surgical technologists must comply annually with the continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the certified surgical technologist credential and provide proof of compliance with the health care facility upon request. Preferred: Two years current Operating Room experience. AST Certification.

Patient Care Associate II

SIGN ON/ RETENTION BONUS - Totaling $3,000 for Full-Time Patient Care Associates *Bonus Eligible* Department: Emergency Work Hours: 40 hours per week daylight or night shift hours, alternating weekend and holidays Provides direct patient care appropriate to age, culture, and developmental needs under the direction of the Professional Nurse. Works closely with patients to provide physical assistance with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, feeding, toileting, vital signs, catheter care, answering call lights, assisting with ambulation, turning, and ensuring patient safety. Technical skills may include obtaining 12 lead EKG, setting up respiratory equipment, multiple Point of Care test(s) monitoring, bladder catheterization, venipuncture, and transcribing orders. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of a nursing assistant program (proof of completion required) or a nursing student after successful completion of their first quarter/semester of nursing school or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent bedside manner and customer service skills. BCLS. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment. Preferred Previous nursing assistant experience, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), Computer skills.

Patient Care Associate I (Med/Surg) - Day/Evening

*Sign On/Retention Bonus Eligible* - $3,000 Department: 5 Central Med/Surg Work Hours: Full-Time Nights, 8 & 12 hour shifts, every other weekend, holidays as required. Provides direct patient care appropriate to age, culture, and developmental needs under the direction of the Professional Nurse. Surgical Tech (Full-time Ambulatory Surgery Center)

Location: Heritage Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center, 79 Wagner Road, Monaca, PA 15061 Work Hours: Monday thru Friday, daylight Under the supervision of a registered nurse and according to established nursing standards and surgery center policies and procedures, assists with surgical procedures as a scrub member of the surgical team. Prepares/Reprocesses surgical instruments and maintains a clean and safe surgical environment. REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent.
