Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. The CCU RN will often be active participants in bedside procedures with physicians. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis. Overview The Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of neonates ranging from well newborn infants to those with special or intensive care nursery needs. Our Nursery is an 8 bed Level II special care nursery unit which provides care to newborns delivered in our Labor & Delivery unit who are under the care of our Pediatric physician teams from four local clinics. Common diagnosis and care provided to newborns in our Nursery include respiratory distress and oxygen support, jaundice and phototherapy, antibiotic therapy, hypoglycemia management and care of premature infants 32 weeks and older. Our Women’s & Infants’ team is supported by a full-time W&I Licensed Social Worker, Inpatient and Outpatient Lactation Support Services and a Women’s Center Outreach team. Overview Under the supervision of the Program Director, will perform the primary function of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the Outpatient Wound Healing Center. The RN will also be responsible for providing case management for wound care patients, including discharge planning, family education, and coordinating with patients’ home health and DME providers. Case Management will also coordinate care and communicate with patients referring physicians’ office test results, wound care services provided and patient progress. Overview The obstetric unit in Women’s & Infants’ Services is comprised of 16 LDRP (labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum) rooms and an additional 8 post-partum or general care rooms. We provide Level II Maternal Specialty care and deliver approximately 1,750 babies each year under the care of our OB/GYN physician teams from three local clinics. Our Women’s & Infants’ team is supported by a full-time W&I Licensed Social Worker, Inpatient and Outpatient Lactation Support Services and a Women’s Center Outreach team. The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum obstetrical patients and their well newborn infants. The L&D RN also performs screening and outpatient care for OB Triage patients along with care to women during their post-partum recovery following vaginal or cesarean delivery. The L&D RN is cross-trained to Mother/Baby care. Delivery of care can range from infant stage through the geriatric patient population. Home Health RNs are not just assessing patients but are assessing, the patient support team and their home environment as well, including any social determinants of health obstacles. Overview 2-South is an adult psychiatric unit. The Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of adult psychiatric patients with mental health diagnoses. The RN will complete a psychiatric nursing assessment on each assigned patient admitted to the unit. The Adult Psychiatric RN identifies, and documents patient needs based on subjective and objective data. Initiates a nursing care plan, identifying and documenting a nursing diagnosis/diagnoses from the psychiatric nursing assessment. Documents long and short-term goals on the nursing care plan. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability in providing care for patients received in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. The Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology RN works closely with cardiology, vascular-surgery and interventional radiology physicians. Typical producers include cardiac catheterization, kyphoplasty, leadless pacemaker placement and much more. The RN is responsible for assessing the patient during the procedures and while the patient in under moderate sedation. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of Conway Regional Medical Center. RN-4 South, Orthopedic and Neurosurgery

Overview 4 South is an 18-bed unit that specializes in orthopedics and neurosurgery. The Registered Nurse (RN) cares for a diverse population that includes primary and revision joint replacement as well as neurosurgery patients recovering primarily from procedures such as cervical and lumbar fusions and revisions. Many of our patients participate in Joint Academy before they undergo surgery followed by participation in the Recovery Coach program following surgery. This surgical unit is fast-paced related to turn over as patients typically have a short length of stay. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. Overview 3 South is an 18 bed-unit in which the Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for patients admitted for general cardiac diagnoses as well as sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, and stroke. The RN also cares for patients requiring antiarrhythmic non-titrated drips. The patient population served tends to have multiple diagnoses requiring the RN to work closely with all of our Cardiologists as well as our Hospitalists to provide comprehensive care. RN- 3 North, Medical-Surgical

Overview 3 North is a unit in which the Register Nurse (RN) facilitates expert multidisciplinary care to a variety of medical/surgical adult and geriatric patients. There is a strong emphasis on provision of care to patients requiring hospitalization before and/or after general surgery. The RN also cares for the Ear, Nose and Throat surgical patients along with peritoneal dialysis patients and patients with other medical problems covering a wide range of diagnoses. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. The RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts. SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. MED DETOX RN

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for patients admitted for substance overdose, abuse, and detoxification. The patient population served tends to have multiple diagnoses requiring the RN to work closely with all of our hospitalists as well as our psychiatrists to provide comprehensive care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. Overview 3 South is an 18 bed-unit in which the Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for patients admitted for general cardiac diagnoses as well as sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, and stroke. The RN also cares for patients requiring antiarrhythmic non-titrated drips. The patient population served tends to have multiple diagnoses requiring the RN to work closely with all of our Cardiologists as well as our Hospitalists to provide comprehensive care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System.
