At the successful completion of the internship, the Nursing Assistant Intern will advance to the Nursing Assistant position. Responsibilities: Dependability- Consistency in accomplishing tasks/ education with minimal supervision. Teamwork- team relationship with peers and departments. Maintain a positive attitude and consideration for co-workers and departments. Communication- demonstrates the ability to communicate professionally in a clear manner with all staff members. Responsibilities: Follows nursing assistant plan of care established by the Registered Nurse within a specified timeframe; including, but not limited to, mouth care, bathing, AM and PM care, assistance with ambulation, transfers to chair and/or bed, taking and documenting vital signs, and recording accurate intake and output. Documents all patient care delivered according to established policies and procedures. Performs duties with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned units. Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards.
