Maintain detailed medical records and documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support specialized care needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, behavioral health, hospice, or post-acute care services. Follow aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or phlebotomy to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments including hospitals (ICU, emergency medicine), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient care. Skills Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Point Click Care, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working in diverse settings including long-term care, acute care hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), pediatric units (PICU), or behavioral health facilities. Skilled in medication administration and understanding of HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to perform complex caregiving tasks such as catheter care, aseptic technique procedures, and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Familiarity with specialized care areas including dementia/memory care, infectious disease management, hospice support, or geriatrics. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward patient service and teamwork in high-pressure environments such as ICU or urgent care settings.
