Currently we have six per diem OR PAs on staff Minimum of four 10-hour shifts per quarter **On-call schedule:** weeknights 5p-7a (14 hours) weekends 7a-7a (24 hours) Available to cover weeknight and weekend on-call shifts as needed **What your day will look like** This role is focused in the Operating Room, supporting complex cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, and other thoracic interventions. Primary responsibilities of the job focus on first and second assist in the chest during cardiothoracic surgeries, including assisting with open and closing chest incisions for adult cardiac patients, conduit harvesting, and endoscopic techniques. Suturing and caring for wounds including removing sutures and dips and changing dressings. Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled.
