Overview: North Shore Associates in Gynecology and Obstetrics is expanding and seeking an additional full-time Certified Nurse Midwife ! About the Practice Currently, we are a group of six certified nurse midwives ( 5.25 FTE). Our practice is growing and we are seeking another midwife to join our group. Ideally, this would be a 1.0 FTE position. We see patients in two office locations (Wilmette and Glenview) and attend births at North Shore Hospital in Evanston. The hospital environment is very supportive and has had a strong midwifery presence for over thirty years. We are dedicated advocates of physiological birth for both low-risk and high-risk patients. We have a special focus on VBAC deliveries (success rate of 92% in 2022) and unmedicated birth (63% in 2022). We have a strong emphasis on promoting vaginal birth with an overall Cesarean Delivery Rate of 7% in 2022. We are typically awarded the ACNM Triple Aim Award based on benchmarking statistics every year. We have collaborative relationships with our physician colleagues. The ideal candidate will be a provider with a passion for advocating for patients, willing to provide the intense empathy and compassion and physical labor support that both the office setting and labor and delivery require. Responsibilities: Schedule (for a full-time 1.0 position) 17-21 hours of office visits weekly Rotating 4 hour Saturday office every 6th week 24 hour (7AM-7AM) call shifts, Approximately 5-6 shifts per month, but overall the equal share depending on FTE. Commitment to monthly team meetings RESPONSIBILITIES “Full scope” midwifery: Providing gynecological, contraceptive, prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and primary healthcare Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status by taking health histories and performing advanced physical examinations in specialty area Performs testing, referral to physicians as needed, writes prescriptions, and performs medical procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment according to clinical privileges Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests to establish diagnoses and develop a comprehensive treatment plan Admitting assessments, inpatient care, and coordination of the discharge planning process with patients, families, and all members of the multidisciplinary team Schedules return appointments for follow-up care, as necessary, according to best practice standards of care Reassessment and modification of care plan as necessary to achieve goals Consults with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet all health care needs of patients Qualifications: Experience Prior experience in obstetrical, reproductive, and sexual health preferred Prior experience in full-scope CNM preferred, but not required License/Certifications Certification or Licensure: Illinois Professional Registered Nurse License and Advance Practice Nurse License. About the Practice Currently, we are a group of six certified nurse midwives ( 5.25 FTE). Our practice is growing and we are seeking another midwife to join our group. Ideally, this would be a 1.0 FTE position. We see patients in two office locations (Wilmette and Glenview) and attend births at North Shore Hospital in Evanston. The hospital environment is very supportive and has had a strong midwifery presence for over thirty years. We are dedicated advocates of physiological birth for both low-risk and high-risk patients. We have a special focus on VBAC deliveries (success rate of 92% in 2022) and unmedicated birth (63% in 2022). Overview: Westmoreland Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates, a practice partner of Together Women's Health , is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing medical team. The Medical Assistant embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction. This role ensures each patients' encounter is professional, warm and caring while meeting a patient's individual needs. This position is for our Grayslake location. Responsibilities: Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness Perform any preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals Set up any additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed Complete all documentation pertaining to patient's medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness May perform Scribe duties Assist the physician as directed Must work well in a team environment Qualifications: Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred 1+ years in a medical office Experience with EMR system(s) and medical terminology is required Previous experience at an OBGYN office (Preferred) What’s in it for you?
