Responsibilities CNA 7am-7pm The Psychiatric Institute of Washington provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. PIW is a 152 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. BASIC FUNCTION: The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA serves as an active member of the treatment team. Qualifications Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma CNA certification in DC Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) Recommended: At least two (2) years of experience working with the psychiatric patient population At least two (2) years of experience monitoring and documenting vital signs. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment. Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities. Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
