Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurse (WOCN)

Under the general direction of the Sr. Director of Inpatient Services, is a consultant for wound, fistula management, ostomy continence care and education. The WOCN is a resource for the ordering and proper utilization of specialty pressure redistribution products. Works within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows all hospital policies and procedures. Complies with the hospital and nursing standards in the performance of the job duties and responsibilities. May be exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting.
