Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at our Southdale location in Edina, MN . Fairview Southdale Hospital offers care to people living and working in the southwest Twin Cities metro area. About the Emergency Department at Southdale: Our ED is a 44-bed multifunctional private rooms, Level 3 Trauma Center that treats over 55,000 patients per year. All rooms have the capability to monitor heart rhythms, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. In addition, three rooms have been established to handle critically ill or trauma patients, one of those specifically for pediatric patients. Our rooms are crafted to help all types of patients including mental health, high acuity patients and low acuity patients! In addition to being a Trauma Center, the Hospital is a Cardiac Center of Excellence and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Team members include Emergency Physicians, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, Mental Health Providers, Pharmacists and Case Managers. Our team works in an environment that has both an ambulatory and EMS/ambulance entrance. These areas are supervised by surveillance cameras and have an “emergency signal” to summon additional help. Access to diagnostic services is available 24 hours a day. Schedule: This position will be working 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks) on the day shift, 12 hours with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
