Care for patients with complex medical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, shock, multi-organ dysfunction, diabetic emergencies, gastrointestinal bleeds, and other critical illnesses. Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), vasoactive infusions, arterial lines, central venous catheters, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, recognize subtle changes in condition, and initiate timely interventions using evidence-based critical care practices. Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care. Respond rapidly to medical emergencies while utilizing critical thinking and advanced clinical judgment. Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care while providing compassionate, patient-centered support. Maintain accurate, detailed documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that promote exceptional patient outcomes. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ADN required. Current valid North Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license required. One year of ICU, critical care, Emergency Department, or relevant acute care nursing experience preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within organizational guidelines. Job Summary and Qualifications ​ ​ The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
