The Nursing Secretary - Monitor Technician NT supports the Registered Nurse in providing basic care and clerical responsibilities. Working under close supervision, this role monitors cardiac rhythms and reports changes to the Registered Nurse in a timely fashion. Essential Job Function: Assists patients with daily tasks, including bathing and shaving in order to support the recovery process. Completes hourly rounding to meet all the needs of all patients on the unit to anticipate any needs and respond to inquiries for help. Supports the Registered Nurse by taking vital signs and reporting any patterns or changes in a timely fashion. Restocks equipment and supplies to prepare for the successful daily operations of the unit. Distributes food and supplements to patients in order to ensure they receive the proper nutrition in line with the plan of care. Ensures fall risk patients are marked and monitored effectively to minimize risk of patient injury. Documents patient information, including logs and labels, for effective and thorough communication with physicians and nurses. Performs other duties as assigned. Prepare medication, bring medication to dining room during meal time, and assist residents with medication.
