Position with MaineHealth is 20 hours a week; these hours are combined withan additional14 hours during the school year with RSU 1,working in the Health Center at Morse High School/Bath Tech. You would besupportingthe school nurse by administering basic first aid, managing health records, monitoring students for health concerns, and communicating with families about illnesses or injuries. Ability to pick up shifts in other Lincoln practices for additional hours or during school vacations to preserve paid time off for the base 20 hours per week. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement) Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
