Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license in the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills

  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Clear background check and immunization documentation as mandated

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and health services to students, including medication administration, care for minor injuries, and management of chronic conditions
  • Screen for health-related barriers to learning and identify health concerns impacting student success
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to promote a healthy school environment
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records
  • Deliver health education and training to students and staff on important topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
  • Participate in health-related school policies and emergency response planning
