We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) healthcare team. This is a 24-hour direct patient care unit with 6 private patient rooms. Patients admitted to the PICU are likely to be those with acute medical disease states. Our patients range in age from newborn to 19 years of age. We primarily care for patients with respiratory distress/respiratory failure, sepsis, status asthmaticus, DKA, status epilepticus, and post op Neurosurgery or other post-operative patients requiring ICU care. This includes patients with invasive monitoring (arterial lines, ICP monitoring, EVD monitoring), surgical drains/chest tubes, invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support, tracheostomies with vent support, vasopressor requirement (epinephrine, dopamine, vasopressin), and/or continuous sedation requirement (versed, fentanyl, precedex etc). This is a supportive close-knit team where the patients and their families are the center of our care. Provides medical services to patients in an ambulatory or a clinic setting. This role will include rounding/patient coverage in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit as well as outpatient clinics. SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8a-5p. Primarily working at 140th & Pacific clinic, but will travel to all clinic sites: East (555 N 30th), Maple (168th & Maple), and Lincoln (575 S 70th St).
